Shake things up with this creamy IPA, brewed with lactose for a full-bodied and milky texture. Passionfruit and Mamey Sapote balance the sweetness of the lactose and give this brew an exotic finish.

Draught @ Kiesling, Sønderborg on Øllets Dag 2022. Pours hazy straw with airy white head. Clear aroma of hops and citrus, with fruity notes and touches of yeast. Bitter flavour of hops and citrus, with notes of fruit and malt and estery touches. Cotric and hoppy aftertaste with estery touches. Decent.

Tap. Oxbow Sheffield. Hazed medium gold. Sticky white foam. Nose is all pineapple milkshake as you’d expect. Taste has a sticky sweetness. Fruit heavy bitterness. Sticky mouthfeel. Fine carbonation. Moderate fruity bitterness to finish.

At VM fest 22. A bit unclear yellow color, white head. Malts, straw, hayish, moderately hoppy, distant grassy notes. Decent body and carbonation. Alright. 7-7-7-7-7

Remarkebly pulled back for a milkshake IPA, bit too much maybe even. Bit too much on the beery side and not enough on the pasty side. That said: sweet, soft, fruity and very easy drinking. Good stuff for the incoming summer heat!

Keg draught at BrewDog Leicester. Pours a muddy dark gold, little bit of haze with a ring of white head. I get the passionfruit in the aroma but there's loads of lactose as well. Sweet taste, bit lactose hit in the mouth, with an underlying back-of-the-tongue bitterness. Some candied orange notes just before the finish, flowed by more tropical fruit hop bitterness. Lactose-phobes look away now, but it's a good beer and different from many Milkshake IPAs.

500ml can from Tesco - cloudy orange with a big white top. It's got bits in. Big fruit punch of an IPA, lots of tang in there. Was thinking about the beers we rated in 2012 compared to this. If I'd been given this back then, I'd have asked if the brewer was Fanta. Still nice though.
