An ode to grandma’s recipe for a daily cooling drink, The Liang Teh Lager (4.8%) is a crisp lager, accentuated by the lightness of the Chrysanthemum. Easy on the palate and good for whole day drinking, this lager goes well with deep fried, spicy and seafood for the perfect combination.

On tap at 1925, pours a hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma is pretty neutral, with some herbal and skunky notes. Flavour packs a big herbaceous crunch, with some boiled vegetables, especially celery, and biscuity malt. Not really a clean lager, but it's not terrible. Meh.

Tap at BeerFest Asia XI Edition, Singapore. Poured a hazy golden colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, yeast, buttery popcorn, probably diacetyl. The flavour is moderate bitter sweet, with a smooth, rich, malt, corn, herbal, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
