The Daintree in Australia’s tropical North is an idyllic escape where rainforest meets the sea and was the ideal inspiration for this Mango Smoothie IPA. Expect more body than your run-of-the-mill IPA; Tropical and citrus hops and a large dose of fresh mango puree give this beer an exotic aroma, with lower bitterness and a more prominent fruit character offering flavours of mango, peach and passionfruit.

Danke an minutemat. Rund hopfiger Antrunk, wässrig nach Mango, etwas grasig, weiche Herbe. Steigende Herbe, deutlich Hafer, im Großen und Ganzen unspektakulär und in der Hopfigkeit schwach. 8/9/10/8/13/8

“Daintree? This river don’t go to Daintree”. Ronnie Cox is the answer to the trivia question. Score yourself two points for getting that one.

Can. Nose is very big mango, mango sorbet, dominating the other notes, but there is a hint of herbal hop and pineapple. It's opaque and with the nose, really brings to mind a mango Solero. Taste is, as you would expect mango, hint of vanilla, herbal, some grapefruit and citrus and spice bite which stops it getting to cloying. It's fine for what it is, and has some depth of flavour. edit: half way through the can I'm actually quite bored of it and the flavour profile is flattening as it breaths

440ml can from Tescos, Amersham, Bucks. A murky orange coloured pour with a medium thin bubbly white head on top. Orange, mango, tropical fruit on the nose. Tastes more or less the same, orange, mango, tropical fruit. Not what I would call beer, rather unbalanced.

Can from Tesco Inverurie. It pours crazy cloudy bright mango orange with a dissipating white head. The aroma is sweet, juicy, tangy, ripe tropical fruits, straight up mango smoothie, bright peach and nectarine. The taste is dry, thick, quite harsh. bitter, touch of rawness upfront, greenness, pithy orange citrus, waxy rind, tropical fruit vibes, mango, peach skin, boozy kick and some peppery spice with a warming and drying finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and thick mouth-feel. Does have a bit of rawness / hop burn about it... A bit of fun, but rough around the edges.
