He is a ruler, an overlord, a top dog, a crowned head.

In the realm of all that is tart and sour, Jelly King reigns supreme.

Rather than choosing between sour or hoppy, we decided to create a beer that would be both at the same time. Showcasing the aromatic benefits of a generous dry hop, harnessing the prowess of lactic acidity, and coming to a can near you without a pesky slumber in oak, Jelly King is the fermented embodiment of immediate gratification.

What it smells like, what it tastes like, what it looks like: Jelly King combines bright and juicy hop aromatics with a refreshingly tart base, and is bursting with notes of fuzzy peach, tangerine, and grapefruit.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Dean for this bottle! Cloudy yellow. Great fruity hops, lacto, lemon, some funk, juicy, sour, a bit of "green" bitterness. Really good and really refreshing.

8 3 8 3 16Bottle shared at Hollands Spoor Tasting Club, Breda Edition. Cloudy golden with a white head. Aroma of big grapefruity hops upfront with a light brett funk and citrus. Flavour is moderate bitter with a light citric acidity, more tart feeling than proper sour. Light to light medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Juicy from the first sip. Tangerine, passion fruit, a little pear sourness, a real Hawaiian punch. The lingering aftertaste is that hoppy/grassy/cat-pissy-ness that appears in BW beers every once an a while which works as a nice counterpoint to the juiciness. Well worth the try, by the case.

Has an amped up Berliner Weisse vibe that sits well on my senses. Pours hazy orange like tropical sunset. Loys of bread yeast vibes and somw apricot and grapefruit. Tangy finish. Tap at brewpub.

Tasting at Brian’s. 500ml bottle (thx, Peter!). Pours a hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma is hoppy and fruity. Taste is pretty the same with some ascorbic notes, medium to high level of sourness. Good, refreshing, but too much of ascorbic for me.

A hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with resinous floral hops, catty notes, light Brett, very nice and complex. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light lemon notes, light Brett, ground cherries, catty hops, very nice and complex. On tap at Beau’s Oktoberfest 2016.
