On tap at CBM Jimbocho 2014. Hazy golden orange with a medium-sized off-white head. Aromas of pine resin, citrus and a touch of caramel. Taste is more of the same with the hops really standing out. Medium body with average carbonation. Bitter finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Pale Ale on 13 Jul 2015 at 21:02 - Score: 7

On tap at the Craft Beer Picnic. A lovely copper gold with a filmy white head & a luscious juicy citrus & pine c-hop bouquet. The sharp tongue scraping carbonation I except from hoppy beers but the body is a bit light. The taste is ok but not as nice as the nose: earthy pine and light citrus. A solid though uninspiring pale ale. ----On tap at Brick Lane Mar. 2015---- Ise kadoya pale ale deep gold huge nose of pine with light fruit great soft body. The taste is prickly hop bitterness with good sweetness to it. Well balanced.

50 cl bottle at a tasting on October 30, 2013 (backlog). Thanks to Ingo!Marked Nikenjayamochi Kadoya Honten Pale Ale at 5%.Clear golden color, small white head. Sweet, acidic, sour, Brettanomyces scent. Thin, Brettanomyces, weird bitter taste. Astringent, bitter, husky, high attenuated aftertaste. Thin mouthfeel, high strange bitterness.Unpleasant.

An opaque, copper colored beer. Gushed from the bottle but low carbonation. Mild hop aroma. Flavor is more complex with grain and more hops, as well as flowers and light spice. Mildly sweet aftertaste, followed by hops. Nice palate.

Bottle. Pours a hazy, orange-gold with a soft, white head. Pleasant, hoppy aroma with malty notes. Flavor has wonderful balance. Begins sweet with light bread and caramel, then goes into bitter territory. The hop presence is quite strong, a touch that I quite liked. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes lightly sweet with lingering, though not excessive, hops. Very good. I’m surprised by some of these low rates.

Draught at Qbrick. Great fruit and hop nose, with grapes or cherries and citrus. Light and crisp, good light malts to balance. Very enjoyable.

Slightly hazy orange with an off-white head. Grapefruit hops, grass, some floral, too. Body is a tad thin. Flavor is grassy, grapefruit, and a little caramel malt. Pretty good, but it’s definitly missing something. Tried this again at Aldgate and it was much better than I remember. Much hoppier and fuller flavor. Bumped my score up a few points.
