Hugely citrusy, big zesty vibes, dry cocoa, moderate roast. Fun, enjoyable.

When I read it was a fruit beer, I didn’t expect it to be a dark one! Y Market Decorian Belgian Fruits Ale 7% Deep brown with thick beige foam. It’s got a soft cocoa powder and candied fruit aroma. Medium to full bodied and fairly smooth. The taste is roasty, chocolatey and overall it’s like a chocolate fruit cake. Interesting and pretty tasty.

Craftheads. Aroma is fruity and also has a bit of toast about it! Taste is interesting. Loads of fruit, blackberry, some sweetness, but all about the fruit. Very unique.

Tap at IBREW Ginza. Poured a clear dark chestnut brown colour with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is malt, nutty, light citrus fruit. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, crisp, light herbal, woody, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Medium brown color. Good roasted malt and decopon nose. Astringent sweet but lots of acidity from fruit and not too sweet. Quit lovely.

Tap into a shaker showing dark coffee and sparse white foam. The nose is very citrus forward. The palate is lightly carbonated and light bodied. Slight residual sweetness, extremely citrus forward with flavors of toasted fruit and a roasted malt bitterness on the finish.

Tap at Komatch. Dull black, fine brown head. Nose os choclate, citrus, coriander, light roasty coffee. Very tasty. Great chocolate malt, rich and full, just enough orange, light spice. Tasts like Godiva. Crisp and smooth. Very nice beer.

Re-rate: Tap at Craft Heads Y. Market tap-takeover. More dekopon on the nose this time. Cocoa powder dryness is still there. Tang element is gone and seems more like a dried orange zest character. Good Belgian yeasty dryness with bitterness on the finish. Not sweet on the palate at all. Very nice and original fruited Belgian dark ale. Tap at Watering Hole. Pours a hazy dark brown with a tiny head. Lots of cocoa powder in the nose with some light coffee notes. The Dekopon really comes out on the palate as a tangerine-like sweet citrus...actually it’s more like the powdered drink TANG and comes off a little artificial. Some Belgian yeast flavor towards the finish. Very interesting take on a fruit/ Belgian IPA hybrid. --- Beer merged from original tick of Decorian (デコリアン) on 19 Feb 2016 at 21:16 - Score: 7. Original review text: Belgian style with lots of chocolate on the nose. Lots of dekopon flavor too. A tad too sweet though....great carbonation.
