Can from a Tokyo convenience store. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a short-lived frothy white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is grainy malt, corn, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet with a light, crisp, bubbly, mineral, light metallic, hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

12 ounce can. Pours a clear golden hue with a medium white head. A light grainy nose. Toast, light overripe fruit. OK. Pretty smooth really. Not good though.

Nothing much to say about it really. Usual Japanese fake beer, palatable when you drink it on a hot day - and the beer needs to be still very cold. Today was quite hot day...

Can at the hotel in Tokyo. Pours a fetchingly clear yellow-gold with a fluffy, pure white head. The nose has simple pale grains, cereal. Light to medium sweet flavour with a lot of crunchy cereal, a little buttered biscuit, cornbread, white bread, almost no hops, maybe a little straw, faint citrus notes. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with more sweet white bread, biscuits, white sugar, minimal bitterness. It’s easy enough to drink, but could be crisper.

35cl can from a nearby Family Mart in Tokyo. Pours clear golden with a modest white head. Mild grainy aroma with just a hint of fruits and possibly honey. Sweet, watery and not much flavour or bitterness to speak of. Close to sparkling water.
