The BLK 622 Dark Ale is brewed in house by The 1925 Microbrewery & Restaurant. Jet black with a smooth creamy head that floats at the top of our gold rimmed glass. The taste? Bold flavours of double malted barley with a hint of caramel at the tip of the tongue followed by a subtle bitter finish. It’s a thing of beauty. Did you know we brewed the beer such that the ABV is 6.22% because BLK 622 happens to be also the block number of the founders’ father’s/ grandfather’s home! It’s no coincidence!

On tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown. Coffee, toast, savoury and, in perhaps my most pretentious tasting note of all time, that fermented red bean curd you had in desserts in Korea. Not for me.
