Sample at the taproom. The beer pours nearly black with some mahogany around the edges, and a medium frothy tan head that diminishes gradually to a film. Sparse strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of smoked wood, malt and hops. Medium to full body with flavors of roast malt, smoked chicory, coffee and earthy hops. The finish is smokey with a malty aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
