On draught at 1808 American Bistro during the "Barrel Aged "Pint Night"" event on 03/21/2017. The beer is a dark brownish-amber color with a medium thin light beige head that diminishes quickly to an outer ring. Small patches of lacing. Dark fruit, malt and yeast in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of dark fruit, toffee, earthy malt and Belgian yeast. The finish is slightly syrupy but doesn’t show the 16% ABV, leaving a fig and yeast aftertaste. Good beer all around.
