Red in colour and so beautifully fruity by nature, you’d be forgiven for thinking this is one of your five a day. It’s not…. but it should be! A symphony of fruitiness.

Half pour at the Pint Shop. Light brown, small skin of head. Aroma is sour rye, malts. Tadte carties the rye base forward, grain sourness, rye bread botes. Could use a bit more body.

33cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. An attracive reddish amber pour with a thick cream head; aroma of rye with some fruit in the background; big fruity taste, slightly sour, with a rich grainy body underneath; and a herbal bitterness leading to a dry grainy finish. Rather good.
