Bottle from Ryan: pours black with minimal head because this is old. Aroma is maple, dark chocolate, some smoke, vanilla and wood. Taste is bittersweet, maple is faded out, smoke and leather are in. This held up very well all things considered

One of the best of the Jesus series. A big complex nose - wood, bourbon, chocolate, candied fruit and trickle. Body is hear black with a cola-like, quick dissipating dark tan head. The thick mouth coating texture hits you right away. Chocolate, chocolate milk, maple, a slight bourbon burn, wood, vanilla and dark berries are all there. Distinct flavours well blended. Sweet on the finish.

Odense twenty twenty winter pt 1 tasting. Black with a small tan head. Intense dark flavour of licorice, dark chocolate, molasses and vanilla. Sweet roasted flavour with a huge, full body. A touch of alcohol, but otherwise a very fine, intense dessert beer.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a medium dark brown light bubbly head. Aromas of sweet bourbon, maple syrup, vanilla icecream, chocolate, roasted malts, the vinous notes the regular jesus usually packs. Taste is sweet, maple, chocolate, vanilla icecream, butterscotch, light booze, dry cocoa and roast comes out in the backend.

(On tap @ Himmeriget, Copenhagen, Feb 9/19) Pours pitch black with a small pale tan head. Notes of deep dark malt with molasses, brown sugar, earthy roast, moderate maple syrup, vanilla, moderate bourbon, leathery oak, soft smoke, dark fruit, umami touches. Quite sweet up front but finishing off-dry with some roasty bitterness and drying bourbon-soaked oak, maple hits in the aftertaste. Quite full viscous body with moderate carbonation and a little alcohol. For me this was excellent, nice balance of maple and deep, rich stout with a balanced roast presence.

Bottle at home, from Biervana, 13th January 19. Pours black and viscous. Aroma is rich, chocolate, caramel, maple. Taste is sweet, decadent, maple, milk chocolate, smooth and easy to drink, alcohol is evident, but there is a good balance. Very good.
