Our love of lager brewing and our love of hops inspired us to brew this India Pale Lager with our friends at Thornbridge. A light, refreshing malt base is the perfect platform for big bursts of American & German hops. We blended four hop varieties to impart notes of passionfruit, gooseberry, grapefruit and lemongrass. The finish offers clean lager character, fermented using our house lager strain.

Keg at the fourpure brewery tap room. A clear gold coloured pour with a no head. Aroma is semi sweet biscuity malts with pine needles and orange rind hops, little of apricot,. Flavour is composed of decent layered hops, orange, rind, piney jammy citrus and a little chalk in the finish. Palate is semi sweet, resinous hop, light chalk.. Good drinkability.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up at the brewery. Pours crystal clear yellow-gold with a foamy, white head. Really nothing to complain about here. It's clean but still has a nice pissy hop character about it, some grapefruit, lemon rind, pale biscuits, light bitter straw. Light bodied with average carbonation. A little sweet in the finish, more biscuits, ripening lemon, background cat pee, white grape, melon. Overall, nice stuff.

Can from the brewery in Bermondsey and drunk at home. Clear pure gold colour. It's an india pale lager. Rather good hoppy beer I guess. Some lager like base beer qualities and I do like the hops. Pretty good. Nicely drinkable. Could down a four pack of this quite easily

Can at home. A vibrant yellow in the glass and a strong aroma of hops. The taste is that of a lager/IPA hybrid, which is what I suppose they were after. A very high abv makes this non-sessionable.

Can from Tesco. Clear gold in colour, with a small, white, head and touch of carbonation. Aroma of tangerines, gooseberries and grassy hops. Flavour had more citrus fruit, lager malts and a moderately bitter finish with a touch of hop in the background. Enjoyable.
