Bottle from Aldi, Keighley. Clear copper with a small head. Has an easy enough strength but a fair body, perhaps by the maple syrup which isn't too sweet in the ale but provides a decent enough syrup styled texture. There's a bitterness to the brew and a very mild sweetness in its aroma.

Wässriger, leicht bitterer Beginn. Geringe bis keine Würzigkeit, steigend bitter, milder Hopfen. Die Bitterkeit steigt zum Ende weiter, ansonten schwach und insgesamt langweilig. 8/7/9/7/9/7

500ml bottle. Poured a clear copper colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, mineral, earthy, nutty, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a smooth, slightly watery, malt, metallic, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

50cl bottle from Aldi, Bracknell. A deep amber colour with a tight white head; toffee aroma with perhaps a hint of maple; sweet in the mouth with a malty body, some fruit and a hint of maple; then some spice in the finish. Pleasant, but nothing to make me want another.

Clear mahogany brown colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have some light caramel malts. There's a slightly bitter treacle taste in the finish.

Amber color with a fine off white head. Nice lacing. Looks good. Fine intensity in the aroma. Medium body and a decent carbonation level. Balanced sweetness versus bitterness. Rye, bready and fruity flavor. Nice one.

500ml bottle: BBD 31st Jul 2018. Split between three of us on 15th Sep 2017 during a random tasting evening at home. Amber/bronze body, white crown. Aroma had a light fruitiness with sweetener sprinkled all over. Taste also sweet, toffee flavours coming through before the finish turned a little bitter and dry. Different and almost enjoyable.
