Jet black, huge brown head. Huge hops.... Soapy, and piney, with alot of chocolatey roast, and a super silky mouth feel. Medium bitterness, slightly fruity, and very pine resin hop finish. Nice black IPA, but I’ve had better, not sure why it’s this highly rated.

Bottle at Titans. Lovely, light roast, bit of malty sweetness, pine, bitterness, light citrus. Very nice. Chocolate. So smooth. Alcohol hidden.
Second time round: Nice but not completely mind blowing. Got the roast the rye and the hops and all are nice but the description sounded nicer.

650ml bottle. Pours a clear dark brown, almost black with a medium, creamy, long lasting, tan head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, rye, dark chocolate, grapefruit, tangerine, orange peel and piney hops. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel, ash, licorice, rye, grapefruit, orange peel and coffee with a dry, bitter, pine resin finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Nice complexity and well balanced. Very tasty, an excellent Black IPA.

Tap at Hair of the Dog, Phrom Phong, Bangkok. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy off white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is malt, liqouirce, big boozy, alcohol, The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a malt, roasty, liqouirce, light grassy citrus, light spicy, dry hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. A little boozy and one dimensional. I’m not a fan.

Bottle at Titans. Citrus nose, chocolate, light coffee, nice. Great balance, good chocolate flavor, pine, citrus, peppery finish. You get a little spice from the rye as well. This is a very big beer and while not quite as good as a couple others in the field, quite excellent all around.

650 ml bottle. Pours black with a full light tan head. Aromas of piney hops, chocolate, and creamy roasted malts. Flavors follow same with more dry chocolate and lots of pine. Unbalanced and a little thin. Good. Great - no...

This has dark brown colour, thin head. The aroma is hoppy, light fruit, and a fair bit of black patent. A lot of hoppy character, a fair bit of bitterness, sweet dark malts. Big body. Good balance. Ultimately this isn’t that exciting, it’s just a good, straightforward black IPA.
