(Draft at Sutton Arms, Finsbury, London, 28 May 2025) Ruby/brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with caramel, dark fruit, bread and a slight acidity. Malty, slightly fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, raisins, caramel, bread, a touch of port wine, oak wood and a mild spicy bitterness in a finish with a mild acidity. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well made old ale. Very nice.

Can. HOTM. Mostly clear copper brown. Sturdy lasting shiny pale caramel coloured foam. Looks great. Nose has ginger cake. Treacle. Hedgerow hop. Taste is pretty sweet with some leafy mulch bitterness. Smooth with plenty of body. Nice bitterness to finish balances out the initial sweetness. Lovely. Imagine this on cask would be awesome.

Can at home in Hackney. Remarkably smooth and creamy. Nice toasted malts, ripe semi-dark fruits, some berries and raisins, nips of earthy hops, leather, burnt toffee. Medium bodied with massaging carbonation. Really well balanced finish. Excellent.

Foamy cream coloured head on a murky reddish brown coloured body.
Malt, pine & spiced aroma.
Medium bodied, creamy, foamy & sticky on the back.
Woody, berry, vanilla, spiced fruit, pine & malt tastes with a lightly hopped tangy finish.
Good one.
