Can from Tap House Pracownia Piwa i Przyjaciele, Kraków. Aroma is sweetish dark malt, coffee, caramel, chocolate, with only a hint of chili peppers in the finish. Flavour is medium sweet and moderate bitter with a faint hint of chili burn. Body is medium. Didn’t get any sweet potatoes and barely a hint of chili peppers, doesn’t deliver as promised, underneath the disappointment is a decent sweet Porter though.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a thin, single centimetre tall tan head that stays afloat for quite a while. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, light potatoes, yucca and a dose of caramelised sugars towards the end - quite strong and incredibly aromatic. Medium-bodied; Strong roasty malt flavours dominate with a hit of chocolate and coffee and some other light spices, light caramel and some potato notes as well, but flavours across the board, ending in sweetness from the caramel. Aftertaste shows the grain, a lot of roasted malt, coffee, caramel, earth and light spices show through, with a touch of black pepper and a good robust body from all the malts. Overall, a very nice porter that shows a great spice and especially sweet flavour towards the end, but the complexity is shown by all the flavours coming together balanced very nicely and smoothly. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can purchased from 26 November 2012 for US$3,09 sampled in my hotel room here in Lake Buena Vista, Florida on 16-April-2019 when my daughter Claire was 6.

16 oz can bought in St Pete, FL. Opaque dark root beer color and ruby highlights with a small beige head and good retention. Good lacing. Dark roasted and smoky flavors with just a hint of spice. Smooth and sufficiently thick mouthfeel. 6.5 ABV is well hidden. Really good stuff.

Can from Beergium. Pours hugely when opening the can. Dark cola colored beer, which huge head vanishes totally very soon. Aroma has roasted malts, some coffee, chocolate and spices. Taste has roasted malts, coffee, spices. Medium body, light carbonation. A bit too light overall.

Kicsi, nem túl tartó hab, fekete szín. Csokis, kakaós, aszalt gyümölcsös illat. Csokis, kakaóporos, aszalt gyümölcsös ízvilág, némi fűszeres beütéssel. Közepesen testes, enyhén szénsavas, közepesen keserű. Nagyon finom, jól összerakott sör.
