Bottle at the Cotteridge Convention thanks to SarkyNortherner. It pours clear pale gold with a medium white head. The nose is soft, fruity, dough, juicy gooseberry, florals and some lemony citrus. The taste is crisp, bitter-sweet, doughy, sherbet, white grape, elderflower, gooseberry, wood, pear skin, apple and mild alcohol with a drying finish. Soft, crisp and rather easy-doing.

24th Jan 2015: shared bottle at the Cotteridge Wine meet. This hazy blonde had a thin white topping and a floral, fruity aroma with a yeasty base. The taste also on the floral/fruity side and again with the yeast base being evident. Highly carbonated, in fact ’fizzy’ on the palate: might have wanted a year or two of settling down before opening.

Bottle share. Cotteridge Beano. Yeasty. Bready. Over fizziness spoils the palate. Dry. Light bitter. A bit metallic.

Keykeg at Cotteridge Tasting, Saturday 24th January 2015 This was a very, very lively beer, oozing white head, golden in colour. Slight wheatiness on nose, soft in mouth, a little sweet. This beer passed by in a whirl so haven’t a clue about this, however it was very good. A7 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.5

750ml bottle. Hazy, orangey golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity and slightly yeasty aroma, notes of pear, peach, cautious hints of elderflower and rose hip, a spicy, yeasty touch. Taste delivers identical flavours, some enhancement of the yeasty partition. Quite nice but somehow well-behaved, unspectacular.
