A light Amber Ale is the base for this Winter seasonal brew. We added spices during the kettle boil and again in the serving tank to infuse the beer with a pleasing and subtle spice profile. Ground anise and cardamom provide a light spicy note that gives way to the refreshing Amber Ale beneath the spices. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Flat Branch Brewing

Sample at the brewpub. Pours a clear reddish-amber color with a medium thin off-white head that is bubbly and recedes slowly. Aroma of allspice, orange peel and cinnamon. Medium body with a sweet spiced character that contains cinnamon and allspice flavors along with some orange zest and malt. The finish is mildly spiced with a malty aftertaste. Decent all around.
