Bottle at home, 01/01/16. Clear golden copper with a moderate off White covering that soon dissipates Nose is light citrics, straw, orange marmalade, grain. Taste comprises light malt, orange, straw, light bread, vanilla. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. So so golde.

Bottle from M&S. Clear golden colour. Aroma lots of green apples. Seems almost tripely. Tastes kind of same as aroma, only relatively light, less intense. Dry sugary. Average to good, only very very different from what I expected.

Bottle from Marks and Spencer, Enniskillen [250815]
Dark amber, clear, frothy white head, light lacing
Aroma of light spicy hops, hint of citrus, caramel, more twigs as it warms
Taste of caramel malts, soft twiggy spicy hops, hint of citrus, bit of yeast, simple, delicate flavour - maybe a bit too light.
Palate - Soft carb. medium body, bit oily, light sweet, balanced palate, soft malts. Finish as main flavour, clean, touch of bitterness in the tail.
Overall - OK bitter, simple traditional date, soft and easy. Not as bad as the RB score suggests.

50cl bottle from M&S Camberley. A bright golden amber pour with a rapidly fading cream head and quite high carbonation; slightly musty, earthy aroma; rather flabby in the mouth with a thin caramel taste; little in the way of bitterness, and some apple peel to finish. Not a good advertisement for the M&S beer range, or for Black Sheep.

Bottle from M&S Moorgate and drunk at home. Clear pale brown lasting beige head. Some Black Sheep yeast on the aroma. A decent balance of yeast malt and hop. A bit over carbonated. OK bitter. Nothing there really to get my teeth into, but I did enjoy having a bit of distinctive yeast on the aroma.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the big M&S on Oxford St. Pours clear gold, lightly effervescent, with a creamy white head. The nose holds a bit of toasty cereal, lemon, faint apple, pale bread. Light-medium sweet flavor with some further cereal grain sugars, faint bitter hay, mild berry notes, bread. Light bodied with average carbonation. Decent balance on the finish, some more dry pale bread, grain, apple skin, hay. Pretty basic but goes down easy.

Bottle at home from Watford M&S. Possibly a re-badge of ’Black Sheep Ale.’ Clear orange / light amber coloured pour with a big even off white head. Aroma is nutty malts, slightly caramel an light toasted malts, mineral, little soapy. Flavour is very light and chalky, light brown bread, nutty malts, not much to it. Some sweet berry and dried fruits. Palate is light and chalky on the tongue, highish carbonation. Ok.
