Mexican mole milk stout aged in Tequila and Bourbon barrels. It's got an incredibly unique complexity -- layers of smokey cigar meet with oaky heat while the underlying slow-burn of spicy peppers and sweet lactose make it the perfect beer to pair with a Havana sunset.

Big thanks to Jeppe/Jens. Dark sweet and roasted malty with some nice subtle chilli spice coming in, full bodied, nice mouthfeel, nice cinnamon, tequila and bourbon notes coalesce into the warming sweet light spiced malty finish. Great balance. Lovely.

Bottle pour from Valley Beverage. Opaque dark brown with light viscosity, no head or lacing. Aroma is wood, chilies, cinnamon, golden raisin, bourbon. Taste is strong chili heat, chocolate, tequila, bourbon background, late golden raisin. Smooth, full bodied, lively carbonation and spicy/hot peppers. Great balance, complexity and strength. Great even at two years old!!

2022 bottle shared by tfontana on 6/1/24. Syrupy, low carb. Clear. A touch of lactose, cinnamon, rich caramel. No booze. Seems like it could be sweet. Some floral tequila. Not a ton of spice or acid. Cinna-apple, brown sugar, spicy chili picking up on the end with smokey chocolate, raisin and round sweetness. Great viscosity not too sweet, not boozey. Not lactosey. So complex and the spice does build nicely. Not as much earthiness. Crunchy chocolate lingering. Wouldn't want to dome a full bottle, but it's lovely in small doses.

500 ml bottle. 2022 vintage. Aroma has chocolate, cinnamon and ancho chili. The flavor is the aroma with an easy tequila barrel treatment. Cinnamon and pepper is mild and not overdone. Nice texture and viscosity.

Bottle at THT July. Black with small tan head. Cinnamon, lots of chillies, soft bourbon, caramel, fudge, chocolate, soft smoke, tequila. Quite sweet, medium bitter. Almost full bodied solid chili heat finish. Lovely.

Wow! This held up well! Maybe prefer it to fresh even. Legitimately tastes like Mexican hot chocolate.

Head gone in seconds over black beer. Chili, chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, unbelievable jumble. Sweet, chiliburn, cinnamon, coloured nuts, vanilla, brown candi sugar, Bourbon features. Aftertaste is burning rum. Full, heavily bodied, oily. Fiery - but not bad at all. Thanks to M&L!
