Not much for the fruity bananay notes I'd like in a wheat. Somewhat astringent and over-bitter. Deschutes portland ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle. The pretty much nail it with this one. Soft, delicate, medium body. More depth and sensibility than a lot of beers coming out these days. Has a nice balance...the hops are restrained but present. Really easy going, nails it for the style.

12 oz bottle from a six pack bought at the store. Aroma is wheaty, chalky candy, wet hay, faintly lemony. Pours hazy golden with a thick white head with good retention and some lace. Taste has a high level of hoppy bitterness for the style; virtually no sweetness. Crisp, clean and refreshing. Much better than the majority of fake American Hefeweizens, like Widmer, with that hop character.

On tap at PIB 2017, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out soft pillow wheat and dry biscuity character. Flavour is refreshing, with lots of flaked wheat, a touch of hops and dry biscuity underneath. Refreshing and well-made. Unexciting but it serves its purpose.

Sample at GABF 10/08/2016, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking. Cloudy golden color with a medium thin white head that dissipates quickly. Stringy lace. Wheat, malt and fruit in the nose. Light to medium body with flavors of herbal wheat, toasted malt and fruit. The finish is wheaty and floral. Decent overall.
