Hop Noir is a dark, New-England Style Double IPA - dripping with dank, citrusy, juicy hops. The body is hazy, thick and dark, anchored by organic black malt. Amarillo, Azacca and Citra hops shine in this beer, dancing perfectly with the somewhat darker malt base. Enjoy with a night-light.

Almost opaque dark amber - brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is airy, fairly dry and has good fine carbonation. Thin dark malts but with a fair bit of roast bitterness. Touch of dark chocolate. Mellow hop skunk and smooth pine. Finishes light and roasty bitter. Not bad, tad malt led.

355ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with ruby red glimmer and average to huge, frothy to macropore, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Piney hoppy aroma, notes of spruce, coniferes in general, hints of woody pineapple, roasty dark malty background. Taste is bitter hoppy, piney, hints of spruce, pineapple, a minimally metallic touch, weak, roasty dark malty basis.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Very dark brown with small beige head. Lots of aromatic hops with lime, lemon peel, marmalade, spring onions, light bitter herbs. Some roasted malts and ash, but the hops are really overtaking the malts here. Light sweet and medium bitter. Medium bodied.

Bottle @ home. Opaque dark brown color with a slight red glare coming through, medium sized beige head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is indeed dark malts and hops. Taste malts, quite roasty, firm bitterness, bitter hops. Decent body, medium carbonation.
