Cask at the brewpub. Near black with a medium bubbly tan head. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, minty notes, fudge and light malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter. Light bodied with a thin mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Easy drinking and fairly good but the mint is a little out of place. It seems there’s a fair bit of variation with this brew.

On tap at the brewpub. Very small ring tan head. Very low carbonation. Clear deep burgundy pour. Thin and watery taste

Cask at the brewpub. Poured a dark brown colour with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is sweet malt, dry charcoal, coffee light chocolate. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth sugary malt, light roasty, dry liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A big improvement on the Black Mamba IMO.
