The unusually high content of finest Munich malt turns this dark version of wheat beer into an intensive taste experience: Light chocolate, cocoa, and tropical fruit flavors impress first. Then wheat, malt, and sparkling roast aroma. Weissbier Dunkel is a muscular beer. Unfiltered, strong, and nutty. At the same time, smooth and soft to the taste. A great accompaniment for any meal. And it even wins over many true wine fans.

Optisch einwandfrei, dunkelbraun, stabiler Schaum.

Aroma of malt, some caramel, banana, spicy yeast, hint of clove. Flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth sweetish finish. Quite nice.

As “Weissbier Dunkel”. 500 ml can. Pours brown with moderate head. Aromas of cloves, nuts, banana, bready malts and wheat. Flavors of banana, bready malts, spice (nutmeg and cloves) and wheat. Nice carbonation. Pretty much as expected…

Poured from 500mL can. Hazy brown with full off-white head. Wheat, feint toffee and esters with a hint of clove. A bit subdued and underwhelming, but I was in the mood for a German beer.

[as Paulaner Weissbier Dunkel] Bottiglia. Al naso l'aroma rimanda all'orzo tostato.

Cloudy brown with a bubbly off-white head and brown bread and bananas on the nose. Has that yeasty mouthfeel but quite fizzy, with bananas and sweet caramel combining nicely on top of light, sweet wheat malt
