RBESG 2017, sampled on July 23, 2017 @ Olutravintola Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Looks cloudy orange, white foam. Fruity honey nose, fresh apples. Taste has some cinnamon, apple pie, sweetish and ends with a bitter note. Dry and herbal.

Shockingly bland kolsch from Rogue, basically another uber-light, pedestrian Americanized take on the style, grass and mild lager esters on top of a restrained but apparent honey sweetness. Not bad, not good, not much of anything. Pours a pretty clear gold with little head or lace. Tartness and grain in the aroma, texture’s good for such a light beer. Good to keep in the fridge for your non-craft-drinking friends, I guess.

Bottle from Total Wine, Fredericksburg. Pours pale gold with a small white head. Aroma slightly grainy with a hint of honey and minor lemon zest. Flavor is smooth grasses, grain, honey. A little earthy. It’s fine.
