Handpull cask at the Ale Wagon, Leicester. Golden brown and clear with a full off-white head. Bready aroma with some astringent and vegetal notes, some physalis, some papaya. A bit odd on the nose but the taste is more mainstream with a fruity bready and a good note of persimmon. Light body with soft carbonation. This is really worth trying, certainly not your normal bitter. I'm also lucky enough to have a cask that's just on.

On cask at The Grove, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out English bready malt, subdued hops, and a hint of toasted nuts. Flavour is smooth, with bready malt, subtle English hops, and legit fungal notes. Smooth and drinkable but pretty overrated.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is malt, grassy citrus. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a smooth, fresh, dry, crisp, woody hop bitter palate. Classic Oakham.

Cask at The George, Croydon. It pours clear golden - amber with a medium white head. The aroma is soft, fresh, orange blossom, juicy tangerine, clementine and orange chewits. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, sweet tangerine, mandarin, pithy, zesty, raw hoppage, straw, oily, straw and floral notes with a lingering bitter - dry finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Punchy stuff. Fresh, bitter and orangey.
