Bottle shared at Leighton's place at the Ktwse tasting, 12/12/2017. Many thanks to Tipple for this oen. An opaque black mahogany brown coloured pour with a loose dark tan head. Aroma i s sweet woody chcolate, hazelnut, powdered chocolate, dry rich chocolate fudge. Flavour is composed of dry tangy drinking chcolate praline, tangy nutella, pinch of acid. Palate is tangy, moderate carbaontion, tangy, Lngering bitter chocolate. Nice.

Bottle shared in Hackney - many thanks to Tipple. Pours black-brown with a creamy, tan head. A little artificial in the nose, some chocolate, burnt nuts. Light sweet flavour with chalky cocoa, more burnt nuts, tangy berries. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming finish, some odd cocoa character, tangy berries. Interesting. So so.

Tap at Sun Moth, Melbourne. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy tan head. The aroma is sweet roasty malt, chocolate, hazelnut, light alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet with a rich sweet, red berry fruit, warm alcoholic, light hop spice palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Awesome.

Half pint at Jack Greene, Hobart. Black beer, creamy tan head, smells like expensive chocolate. Excellent body, viscous, luscious, smooth. Taste is drinking chocolate. Finish is more chocolate with touches of toffee. This is gorgeous sticky goodness and not as sweet (cocoa notes balance it out) as I have described it. Tasty, moreish, great fun beer.

From a 750ml bottle on 19/12/2016. Pours close to black with evidence of yeast floaties, and a big, bubbly, uneven head. The nose is pleasant enough - suite strong chocolate notes, along with some caramel. Taste wise, there’s lots of sweet chocolate and praline, which is greeted by an odd, slightly sour lemony bitterness.Medium bodied with lively carbonation. I didn’t exactly love the imperial version of this, and this is not nearly as good. Interesting but a bit cloying and artificial tasting. I do have a sweet tooth when it comes to beer, but this is not one I’ll revisit.

On tap at Mrs Parma, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is complex, with notes of vanilla, chocolate, and Belgian yeast - tastes just like pralines n cream. Flavour is along the same lines, with vanilla, cocoa and Belgian yeast. Tastes just like pralines n cream ice cream. Really nice dessert.

Bottle from Oak Barrel., Sydney. Pours out with a sweet nutty aroma, praline just like it says. Some chocolate, mildly sweet, more nuts on the finish.
