Bottle. Hazy orange pour with a small white head. Earthy hop, straw and spice in the nose. Malt driven flavour with a slight metallic tang which lets it it down. Dried out towards the finish. A bit ho hum.. Loving the Owl though....

Bottle from Rakuten. A reddish-amber brown pour with an off-white head & a herbal hoppy aroma. Served in a pint glass.  The taste is caramel malts, a bit fruity & a slight lemony bitter finish. I get grapefruit notes mingle with sweet malts. Pretty good.

Bottle at home, 19th October 13. Few floaters in bottle, that reads, 5.5 ABV. Pours clear, aroma, malty, some spice. Taste is malt, a little smoke, faint citrus and chestnut purée. OK, not one to revisit

330 ml bottle @ Patricks. Clear, deep golden body with a lasing, moderate sized off-white head. Aroma is malty, slightly spicy with dark caramel that almost gives the impression of old wood. Flavor is sweet malty, light toast, moderate bitterness and again this woody type of caramel. Fine quite light and pleasant body with a good smooth malty aftertaste. Some fruit in aftertaste as well. Nice to sample this good and really typical British style ale from Japan.

Bottle. Amber beer with a strong head. The aroma is hopped with some good maltyness, and the flavour is very bitter with deep roasted and maltyness. Overall a really good well roasted and hopped beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle. Clear pale amber colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Hoppy aroma has a miinimal touch of mint, marjoram, herbs. Taste is cautiously herbal hoppy, a touch of mint, marjoram etc., weak caramel malty background. Nicely balanced herbal hoppy, not overdone, not soapy.

Bottle at The Flying Elk, April 2013. A bit hazy orange-amber with a large white head. Aroma of toffee, light pineapple, mango and light malt. The taste was soft with toffee, some pineapple and mango. A bit on the thin side, still quite drinkable. I wonder how old the bottle was?
