Deep dark brown, near black, with a small bubbly tan head, and has some dark fruit and chocolate on the nose. It's a bit lacking in the flavour department, with only hints of dark fruit and chocolate apparent, but a decent enough stout with nice roasted malt and a dry bitter finish

[33cl can from Beer52.] A glossy black pour with a tight coffee coloured head; aroma of chocolate and sour grains; smooth and milky in the mouth with some spice and sour cherries then some sweet chocolate cake; before a sour cherry finish. A pleasant fruity stout.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 29/01/21. Light black with a modest tan covering. Nose is chocolate, light spice, dried fruit rinds, hint of red berries. Taste comprises cocoa powder, brown sugars, light coffee strains, red berry notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable affair.

Tight beige head left a collar on sa black still body. Chocolate, cherry & coffee aroma. Medium bodied, lightly carbonated with a thinner clean dry back. Jam, malt, cherry & burnt tastes with faint hops & jam on the finish. It's a bit mixed up

330ml can from Beer52. Eye - black with an extremely brief fizzy tanned head. Nose - caramel malts, coffee, chocolate, vanilla. Nice but not picking up cherry. Taste - chocolate and some faint cherries at the start, caramel malts then come in with a touch of vanilla, and a moderate bitter finish. Quite sweet throughout but not overdone for me. Palate - medium body, a touch syrupy, carbonation could be a touch softer. Overall - its quite tasty but it doesn't taste much like a Black Forest Gateau. In particular the cherry adjunct is just not pronounced enough. As a simple flavoured stout though its very nice with the chocolate, caramel and vanilla.

330ml can via Beer52; BB 3rd Apr 2022. Poured into a 'Chimay' chalice at home on 6th Jan 2021. Black bodied, foaming tanned head that sadly fell away far to swiftly. More chocolate than sour cherries (pleased about that), it's malty with a caramel semi-sweetness from start to finish. Needs a drop of 'Schwarzwaelder Kitschwasser' to liven it up a bit (only kidding).
