Tall Boys Black Honey Amber Can (crowler?)from the brewery in Nagoya. It poured a lovely reddish amber with beige foam and has a peppery caramel biscuit aroma. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. The taste matches the aroma. I’d say this is a bang on amber. It’s not complex but I’d say it’s tightly focused on what it should be. I’d love to have this in Fall. I think you could easily do an amazing pumpkin beer variant on this.
