On cask at the Standing Order. Appearance - golden amber with a nice fluffy head. Nose - biscuits and light strawberry. Taste - grape, greengage and stewed apple. Palate - light to medium bodied. Creamy texture and a dry tangy finish. Overall - taste completely different from nose. Good.

Cask pint in The Shrewsbury Hotel (Wetherspoons in Shrewsbury) on 2nd Oct 2017. Looked good, autumnal bronze body, off-white head that lasted. Strange aroma and taste though, dry/burnt caramel and unsweetened toffee came to mind, the aftertaste was very bitter. Not too sure if it was supposed to smell and taste like that, I tried to enjoy it and managed to finish the pint though.

Cask at Wetherspoons, Birmingham Airport. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is ovaltine malt, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a silky smooth rich doughy biscuit malt, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A very decent and drinkable bitter. I'm actually disappointed that I only ordered a half.

Cask at the Crown Rivers, LHR T5, 23/11/13. Clear copper brown with a moderate light beige covering that retains well. Nose is biscuit malt, toffee, brown sugar, nutty tones, dark fruit. Taste comprises caramelised sugars, bread dough, cake mix, berry fruits, toffee fudge. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, subtle bitter notes and a berry fruit tang in the finish. A most decent bitter, could session on this one, puts the twiggy brown nonsense clan to shame!
