Drinkable gear, straightforward, low roast, a little fruity, earth. OK.

Dark brown, opaque, with a small beige head. Aromas of coffee and chocolate, roastiness, and light ash. Medium body, dry, low carbonation. Roast, coffee, and dark chocolate, along with a refreshing acidity. Some herbal notes in the bitterness. Solid, but not compelling.

330ml can via Beer52, drank at home on 7th February 2026. Deep brown body, beige crust. Coffee and chocolate nose/taste, but not overly sweet or rich in nature. It's a pleasant Stout if a little two dimensional.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A dark cola brown coloured pour with a fast fading beige head; chocolate malt aroma; silky mouth feel with a sweet chocolatey taste with a touch of peanut fudge; and an earthy peanut finish with a underlying roasted malt bitterness.

Cask at the Pup & Duckling, Solihull. Poured a murky dark brown colour with a lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty, light grassy hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, somewhat rich, fresh, dry, spicy, hop bitter palate with a lingering bitter finish. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation. More like a black IPA than a stout.

Cask at the Robin, Crouch Hill on 1st April 2025. Almost impenetrably black with tan foam and full lacing. Rich and complex roasty malt aroma with some yeastiness. Roasty in-mouth with spices, ripe berries and coffee. A burnt coffee roast finish. Tangy citrus on the upper palate. Full bodied with an engaging texture. Well crafted.
