Draft - Raspberries and dark chocolate. Clear mahogany and creamy beige head. Raspberries in a way that you feel like you are also getting the seeds, amazingly potent with dark chocolate malts. Not an everyday beer but something with desert.

Poured from a 650mL bottle. Dark brown in colour with nice beige head. Predominant raspberry aroma, mild roasted malts. Taste of roasted malts and some chocolate with mild raspberry flavour to kick things off, very slight hops at the end. Medium body, smooth.

Brown color, clear. Dusty aroma, some yeast. The flavor is a total mess: dusty dry dark caramel, raspberries, light chocolate; ordinary bitterness; the final is a bit sweeter, getting better.
But overall it’s not a good beer.

Raspberry and dirt aroma. Clear brown, thick sticky yellow head. Cocoa and raspberry flavor, a combination I have never liked very much. Walnut skins are also detected. Clear brown beer. Light raspberry nose. Slightly watery palate. Low carbonation. Very odd beer! Like a bottle of cold tea with raspberry flavour added. The raspberry is light and the tea flavour is strong. Minerally watery finish. Blegh!

22 oz. bottle, pours dark amber with a small beige head. Dominant raspberry nose with nuts in the background. Flavour is quite muted, with a light raspberries, toasted malts and nuts about balanced. Nothing spectacular.

Draft. Clear red brown with no head (looked like flat coke). The aroma was strong - raspberries detectable at half a metre! It’s pleasant aroma of "real" raspberries rather than the cloying aroma from raspberry flavouring. Light body and light carbonation. The taste is reminiscent of raspberries in dark chocolate - maybe a raspberry brownie. There is a reasonable amount of bitterness and hint of a taste that reminded me of tea. What an interesting and unusual beer! Intense raspberry fruit in quite a hoppy brown ale - it shouldn’t work as well as it does.

On tap at Freakin Frog. Pours a dark amber with a small frothy off white head that lasts awhile. The aroma is caramel raisin fruit. Light mouthfeel with a rasberry malt flavor with a smooth finish. Easy to drink a good fruit beer from Lost Coast.

22 fl oz bottle. Pours dark amber with a light orange glare and a huge off-white head. Aroma is distinct raspberry and dark roasted malt. Nice mix of liqourice like flavours and raspberry with a smooth roasted malt base. Bitter and slight acidic. Mild acidic finish.
