Black with a dirty tan head that escapes to the edge and a swirl.
Nose is chocolate, dark malts, stewed fruits, caramel, herb, light spice.
Taste comprises molasses, dark malts, bitter chocolate, spice, charr, roasted tones, toffee crisp, toasted nuts.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost.
Tidy sipper.

Bottle at home. 7th June 25. Pours black and thick. Aroma is sweet. Chocolate and maple. Taste is rich and sickly,,maple is there,,but not enough bitterness to taper it back. So so

Fles thuis geprobeerd. Het is een diep donkerbruin tot zwart bier met een medium bruinig schuim. Het heeft een aroma van ahornsiroop. De smaak is vol gebrande mout, koffie, salmiak en ahornsiroop in de afdronk.

Near opaque dark brown beer, good bubbly tan head. Airy palate, semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Rich dark malts, tangy earthy coffee and high % dark chocolate. Boozy maple syrup, mercifully free of that cloying sweetness. Some alcohol spice on the back end. A rich and heady brew, tasty.

Taste - again delicate maple with almond and molasses.
Palate - full bodied, balanced and elegant.
