bottle. Grassy, citrus, tropical fruit, a bit oxidized, biscuits and honey. Hazy gold with a high head. Old and a bit oxidized but interesting. Must have been quite nice.

Bottled. A hazy yellow beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of grain and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw and malt, leading to a bitter finish.

Pint in tap at The Catfish, Fitzroy. Pours hazy golden amber with a creamy white head. Nose is distant malt and spice. Laces well. Full-bodied, smooth texture. Clean and crisp, finish is fruity, malty, creamy with a late touch of herb/grass. Easy-drinking superior lager.

Tap at the Catfish, Melbourne. Poured a clear straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is malt, light citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a crisp, fresh, skunky lager malt, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty average all round. I think it’s a style that needs to be retired.
