It might be pale but there’s nothing weak about this bad boy. This XPA’s tropical and floral aromatics set off a fruity palette that will punch your taste buds in the pleasure zone. Tailored for those who enjoy a fully-hopped beer that’s still easy to drink.

Tap at the Napier Hotel, Melbourne. Poured a slightly hazy straw colour with a big frothy white head. The aroma is grassy pine, light hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a dry, yeasty crisp, tart citrus, light floral hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Taster at Australian Beer Festival. 1000th rating! The guys took my photo (not for the rating) because I looked like their mate!?! Hazy golden beer with thin white head. Sharp fruity taste with short finish. Nice hops but a bit pedestrian.

Can (which does indeed misspell palate). Slightly hazy pale orange with a white head that fades fairly quickly but never quite disappears. Aroma has lots of tropical fruit tempered with a bit of grapefruit and pine. Rather plain hayish malt just gets out of the way of the hops really. Dries out a bit and bitterness is moderate. Sound but generic.
