(Bottle) Black colour with brief, bubbly, beige head. Malty, roasty nose with notes of dark bread, soy sauce, dried fruit, dark chocolate, tobacco, orange peel and oak wood. Malty, roasty taste with soy sauce, dark bread, dried fruit, dark chocolate, liquorice, black coffee, orange peel, a touch of smoke, oak wood, hints of brandy and a generous roasty bitterness in the finish. Full body, thick and oily mouthfeel. A certain sweetness. Rich, powerful and tasty. Very nice.

Draught@CBC2016. Opaque black colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is earthy, caramel, some liquorice, alcohol and mild brandy tones. Flavour is alcohol, some brandy, mild caramel, liquorice, chocolate and mild some plummy and figgy elements. Has some slight tobaccoish elements in the finish.

pitch dark bubbly brown head. really nice dry hard roasted malty aroma, notes of wood chips, tight and dry aroma, fainter notes of bitter us style hops. flavor is about as good as a plain imp stout can get. lots of roasted malts, rounded off by wood, whiskey andd coffee notes, and balanced with bitter hops, aftertaste bitterness is a good blend of wood, hops, roasted malts and bitter coffee. Balance is near perfect with this one, very well done.
