This Cold IPA highlights feral BC hops with bright citrus and floral overtones, while locally grown grains and cereal mashed rice provide a clean, dry backbone.
Bold & bitter yet highly drinkable, it captures the wild West Coast in every sip.

Gold, bright, medium head. There’s not much on the nose but the palate has a bright berryish fruitiness, big pale malt, medium bitterness. The Tamarack hop is a semi-feral grown here in a project with KPU, I’ve been a fan of both beers they’ve made with it. And this one, look, this is as clean and well-structured as anything I’ve had from Barnside.

473mL can, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is full of rank vegetal notes, weird herbal hops, maybe traces of diacetyl. Flavour is much the same, with a weird vegetal (celery-like) note, herbal hops, and thankfully no diacetyl. The vegetal character is very off-putting and destroys this.

Poured from 473mL can. Clear dull blonde gold with almost no white head. Cabbage and rocket candies, something clearly went wrong with this can.

473mL can. Pours clear gold with a minimal head. Sweet malts and resin on the nose. Flavour has a sweet malt backbone, some mango, resin, bitter finish. Clean and drinkable, but the hops are too tame.
