Sample at the brewpub. Pours flat black with a medium beige head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Small patches of lace. Aroma of bourbon, chocolate and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, vanilla, chocolate malt and coffee. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Good beer all around.

5 oz. pour as part of a flight at the brewery. Opaque black, ring of head. Aroma is as taste. Taste is bourbon, base malty stout, toffee. Smooth, frothy stout, no sign of alcohol & finish as taste.
