On tap at Crunchy’s, East Lansing. Deep red-brown body, thin, dense buff head. Cerealy nose, served too cold to pick up much depth. Medicinal body with strong leafy hops, crackers, dark fruit candies, and butterscotch (but not diacetyl). Subtle alcohol notes. A bit syrupy, bordering on cloyingly sweet after several sips, but still enjoyable and interesting.

First new erie brewing beer. Drank erie long time ago before it closed down and was revitalized. Very interesting label. Dark but not opague in my steelers mug. Pretty decent dark beer. Slight initial bitter hit with a medium lasting bitter after taste and finish. Smooth for it’s alky content.
