Honkingly good ale! A delightfully full flavoured beer, rich to the palate and displaying a rounded fruity aroma with hints of dark fruit, punching above its weight, this is a great beer for both the goose and the gander.

Hops: Fuggles, Goldings, Bramling Cross, UK Cascade
Malts: Pale, Enzymic Wheat, Crystal, Rye Crystal

Cask at Briar Rose, Birmingham. Clear amber, good tight creamy off white head. Little aroma, some caramel malts. Taste is quite bready and biscuity with a pear and raisin fruitiness. Nice smoothness. It's ok, a bit basic flavour wise.

Half-pint, cask ale after breakfast at Coronet (JDW). Creamy, pearl white head remaining over a clear copper coloured body, upper part lacing on the glass. Moderate caramel aromas with a biscuit vibe. Subdued taste of caramel and a backing note of dark fruits. Bittersweet tail. Just okay. (London, 08.12.2023).

Cask at The Gordon Highlander, Inverurie. It pours clear chestnut brown with a decent yellowy beige head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, rather fruity, red berry and dried fruits, fig, sultana, raisin, nuttiness, toffee and brown bread. The taste is dry, toothy, bitter - sweet, fruit & nut, brown bread, touch of toffee, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, fruit cake, touch of spice and toasty grain with a drying, woody finish. Average body and fine, fluffy carbonation. A really well out together bitter. Nice depth and satisfying flavour. Surprised me.

Cask @ JDW Montgomery's Tower. Pours a generally clear deep amber, off-white head. Good caramel nose. Taste presents caramelised malt with nutty suggestions, fairly light body. Decent.

Cask at Moon Under Water, Wolverhampton. Pours a reddish brown with a small off-white head. The aroma has autumn fruits and malts. In the mouth it has a creamy texture with a sweetness overlying a bitter base. Malts, biscuits and caramel in the flavour, with some fruitiness coming through later. Quite nice.
