(Keg at Gallows Bird Real Ale Tribute to Shakespeare, 20160903) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had liquorice, chocolate and burnt malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt, dark chocolate, sweetness, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was ashy, hoppy and bitter. A nice hoppy stout.
