Warrior, Amarillo, and Simcoe hops lend ample bitterness to this roasty Black Double IPA. SEVEN reminds us of a chocolate orange. Oh, it’s a Cascadian dark ale? Whatever you say, Buster.

Draught@CBC2016. Deep brown colour with a small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, some coffee, caramel, spruce and mild toffee. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, some coffee, caramel, spruce and mild earthy notes.

Tap at Mikkeller Bangkok. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken light tan head. The aroma is big smoky roast malt, grassy hop, The flavour is moderate bitter with a smoky, yeast, grassy hop, light orange citrus, light pepper spice palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

CBC. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, dusty, caramel, hops and a little pine. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, caramel, pine, hops, grapefruit, medium sweet and medium bitter.

Tap@Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2016, Copenhagen - black coloured pour with a tan head. Aroma and taste is a mix of roasted malts and tropical fruits, some faint citrus orange notes, pine needles, some caramel, cocoa, roasted hoppy finish.

Draught @ CBC 2016. Pours balck with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, licorice, dark chocolate, fruity hops. Flavor is light bitter, malty, coffee, licorice, dark chocolate, light citrusly hops. Medium body, average carbonation, light bitter finish. 140516

Sampled at CBC 2016 - second day. Pine resin, cocoa, chocolate and oranges. Nice bitterness, roasty, resiny and citrusy (if these are even real words)
