A light drinking stout with subtle chocolate notes and a rich biscuity character that compliments the Dandelion and Burdock perfectly.

I could never get enough of the wacky-races cartoon as a kid. Good-looking but not quite black pour, it has a clear appearance glow to it, but very dark nevertheless. Plum in aroma and taste is not the most stated against specialist brewers of this style, but it's good enough for me. Low on its dark maltiness character as the sweetness of the fruit is more prominent.

Cask @ Coracle, Ironbridge. Dark appearance, off-white collar. Dark malts with just enough dandelion and burdock coming through. Fine.

Same name, might be a different brew though: 5% ABV and the pump clip claims it's a Dandelion & Burdock Stout, no mention of Blackcurrant. Half-pint, hand-pulled in the Boot Micropub, Wellington Shropshire on 18th November 2022. Almost black bodied, weak off-white head. Malty nose and taste with a liquorice leaning, some sweetness in there too. Fairly slick and rich with a dark fruit undertone. Nice!

Tried at the Strait and Narrow, Lincoln. Almost black colour with a thick tan head. Aroma berry fruits and light roasted malts. Taste sweet. Body thin.

Cask at Cherry Reds, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin tan head. The aroma is dry smoky coffee malt. The flavour is light sweet with a smooth spicy malt, coffee, chocolate, light minty, red berry fruit palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
