440ml can. Jet black colour with slightly late awakening, average to huge, dense, firm, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, tan head. Roasty, slightly chocolately, dark malty and caramel malty aroma, notes of coffee grounds, dark chocolate, cocoa, a touch of liquorice, minimally smoky, ashy overtones. Taste is roasty, minimally nutty, dark malty, slightly caramel malty with some residual sweetness, notes of toffee, coffee, coffee grounds, some liquorice, cocoa, a weak, fruity touch of blueberry, minimally metallic overtones, rust, iron; minimally fruity, alcoholic finish.
Creamy-oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying, simultaneously slightly dry palate, medium to fine, dense, creamy, mildly prickly carbonation.
Focussed, not overly complex - pretty much OK.

250ml draught at Agenturet. Deep black body, covering beige head, dotted spots on the glassware. Attractive on the nose with smoothly roasted chocolate malts, mid-sweet. Quite solid malt-driven taste profile of dark caramel and chocolate. Closes with mid-sweet chocolate malts, lightly roasted. Fine bodied. Like it.
