[5/14/16] Draught sample at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2016. Green session. Black. Aroma of chocolate, licorice. Bitter flavor, licorice, spicy. Not my thing.

Sampled at CBC 2016 - second day. Pitch black with a modest head. A bit too sweet, with notes of dried fruit, bananas, cocoa and chocolate. Not bad, though.

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet boozy, dark malts, booze, minerals, dark sugar, bark, oak, raisins. Taste is slightly dry and harsh, weeds, bark, minerals, dark malts, raisins, oak, booze, dark sugar, burnt caramel. Medium bitterness, dry and harsh boozy mouthfeel. Boring.

Tap at CBC ’16. Black with a ring brown head. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, fudge, caramel, malt and a little overripe dark fruit. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.
