Bottle. Malty, light bitterness, not so exciting. Notes from this tasting getting shorter...

Thankfully not an amber ale, but a red IPA. Lot of complexity here. I can detect about 10 dif. things. Renaissance has so many good IPAs!

330ml bottle into schooner. Mad gusher! Like champagne at a GP. Anyway...looks like burnt caramel sauce with greatly diminished film of foam left. Slight whiff of hops. Full-bodied with a little hoppy zing. Finish is clean with background malt, bitter lemon and aspirin notes. Nice quaffer, solid.

Bright clear amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is thin with reasonable fine carbonation. Thin malts, a little unsweet caramel and a trace of rye tang. Light marmalade hops with a little pine. Light semi dry finish. Clean and light but ultimately - somewhat dull.

Bottle. Minerally nose, caramel, grass, some citrus. Red-orange color, clear, with lace. Light flavor, ok malt, caramel, ok hops with a bit of spice reminiscent of rye. Ok.

330ml bottle @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours hazy deep amber, medium off-white head. Aroma is marmalade, pine. Taste is plump fruits, pithy orange, wood varnish and pine with a robust bitter edge. Decent session IPA that punches above its weight.

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a reddish dark amber with a frothy white head and a little broken lace. The aroma is light citrus, light resin hop, The flavour is light bitter with a light, slightly watery, woody resin hop palate and a bubbly mouthfeel. Light bodied with average carbonation. Easily drinkable but a little light without much going on.
