Raspberry Vanilla Sparkling Mead
The Newell boys have done it again! Think ‘pink moscato’, drink ‘Wye Valley Meadery Raspberry & Vanilla Sparkling Mead’!! Technically a ‘melomel’, this is a delicious and lively beverage which would be a total delight as an aperitif, a summer refresher or as the perfect accompaniment to a red berry pavlova. It isn’t called ‘Berried Treasure’ for nothing. Ahhh gwan, gwan, gwan!

31/5/2025. Bottle shared by danlo, cheers Ed! Pours clear reddish amber with some bubbles. Aroma is raspberries and cream, vanilla, honey, bramble, flowers. Medium sweetness, touch of raspberry tartness. Very smooth. Lovely mellow sweet and light tart finish. Light carbonation. Very good.

750ml bottle from BeerGB. Reddish amber colour, no head and aroma of raspberry, vanilla, honey. Taste is sweet, raspberry, caramel, honey, with vanilla & chocolate notes, tangy, booze. Medium bodied, low carbonation, sweet raspberry boozy finish. Nicely drinkable.
