Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear dark amber with.a broken frothy off white head and some broken lace. The aroma is, yeast, ripe citrus. The flavour is moderate sweet and a hint of yeasty sourness with a dry, big fruit wood resin hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation and a light bubbly mouthfeel. I wasn’t so impressed initially but it grew on me a little.

From a 500ml bottle on 29/11/2012 (ABV listed as 5% rather than 5.2%). Pours a clear dark amber with a small head. Has a quite strong aroma of chocolate and caramel malt. The flavour follows suit with lots of chocolate and caramel, along with some nutty, bready and roasty notes. Finishes with a nice medium bitterness. All up, a very pleasant malt dominated brew.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, bread, and caramel, as well as lighter notes of butterscotch. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of caramel, as well as medium notes of bread and light notes of both spices and nuts, leading to a dry bready finish.

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, dark brown with an orange hue and a creamy, beige head. Very roasted - almost burned - aroma. Medium body with fairly burned malt accents leaving a malt bitter finish. Closer to a Schwarzbier actually. 040208
